March 2020 —
Our Plan for Social Distancing
Information for you on program updates regarding COVID-19
Hello Friends and Community Members of RSU13 Adult Education,
We recognize that the health & safety of our learners is of the utmost importance. To that end, we will continue to be extra vigilant in following the district’s lead in sanitizing practices and preparing for continuity of learning during potential closures or student-initiated social distancing.
If the RSU13 school district closes for K-12 students, our policy is that RSU13 Adult Education is also closed. In addition, students may self-select to follow these closure policies at any time.
Academic classes will transition to remote learning options. Our instructors have planned strategies to keep ELL, high school diploma, HiSET, and college prep programs running from a distance. I’m very proud of our staff for their swift response and flexibility.
All enrichment classes will be postponed. We look forward to rescheduling upon return to our regular hours.
After-School Art programs will offer virtual or take-home projects. (Details will be given to families by the instructor).
If you wish to cancel your registration for a class, we can offer you a credit towards a future class (to be used by Dec 31,2020) or reimburse your registration fee minus the processing fees.
**Please note that the Maine Driving Dynamics Class scheduled for March 21 has been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday, June 20**.
The most up-to-date information about RSU13 Adult Education’s schedule can be found online at www.rsu13.maineadulted.com or give us a call at 594-9764. We are happy to answer your questions.
Well wishes,
