Students meet at the McLain School, 2nd Floor Computer Lab on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00 PM to:
  • Practice Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing
  • Connect With Other Students
  • Use Skills in Real Life
  • Learn English Language Basics

Enrolled students may also access services through the Adult Learning Center on the 3rd Floor of the McLain School.

The ELL Program focuses on developing language skills in the context of everyday functions, such as attending parent-teacher conferences, going to the doctor, finding and securing a job, or grocery shopping.  Also included are the importance of civic participation, voting and elections, the path to citizenship, and preparation for the work force. Career advising topics, such as how to write a resume and search for job opportunities in our local papers and online are incorporated into lessons. All students are supported in pursuit of long-term career goals.

Providing a welcoming and supportive environment for our students is a core value of this program. Please join us!
